Zuhdi Labib Terzi, Permanent Observer of the Palestine Liberation Organization to the UN, addresses the Security Council. It voted on Resolution 608, which calls on Israel to rescind its order to deport Palestinian civilians from the occupied Palestinian territories, to ensure the immediate return of those already deported, and to desist from any further deportations. The resolution passed with 14 votes in favor; the United States abstained.
