The novel The Book Thief shaped the lives of

The Book Thief, by Markus Zusak, is a novel that depicts the battles of a young German girl living in Nazi Germany.  Given the setting of Zusak’s novel – Nazi Germany during the Second World War shows how humans treat each other, as well as observing the normal world.Death, who has a solid association with colors, and what those colors mean for a man’s life, for example, the red, dark, and white sky.  To wrap things up,colors in The Book Thief are utilized by the storyteller, Death, to depict the skies and souls at the times that he comes to take individuals’ spirits away. It is also, as Death states early on in the novel, a break from his job. It is a way of distracting him from his awful job. Death see’s the colours of the day revolving him, and of the souls that he extracts. World War II, a large portion of the authentic implications allude to genuine characters and occasions, for example, Hitler and the Munich Olympic Games. The next image I have incorporated is religion. Even after hearing hateful comments about Jewish individuals such as “Jewish whoredog” and “You dirty asshole” she continues to pursue a bond with Max Vandenburg despite her communities’ negative views on them. The three other images were representations of symbolism, which was a major factor in helping create meaning behind objects which, at a glance, may seem useless.  The symbolism depicted in the novel The Book Thief shaped the lives of many characters in the text. The writing helps lay the foundation for some of the major connections in the story. Max’s friendship with Liesel  when he gives her Mein Kampf a book he wrote . Another symbol in the book is Death and he is known as the tremendous onlooker of human instinct. Overall, the intent of this visual representation is to get across the difficult situations characters face. I really felt that the dark, warm, and vintage colors can be helpful to represent the underlying meanings as it really set the mood.
